We offer lipotropic injections, also called “skinny shots.” This shot includes naturally-occurring amino acids (lipotropics), as well as vitamin B12. Read more about lipotropics below.
MIC – VITAMIN B12 is the lipotropic shot we offer in the clinic at Star-Care Family Wellness. These injections are offered in both medicated and non-medicated plans.
MIC stands for methionine, inositol, and choline, three fat-burning amino acids that are naturally found in the body. Also known as lipotropics, these chemicals help to prevent the buildup of cholesterol throughout the body, improve the metabolizing of fat, and facilitate the removal of wastes and toxins from the liver.
Vitamin B12 (cobalamin) is sometimes called the energy vitamin. This water-soluble vitamin helps to keep the body’s nerve and blood cells healthy. It also helps to prevent a form of anemia that can make you tired and weak.
Methionine is an essential amino acid that plays an important role in metabolism.
Inositol is a vitamin-like natural sugar related to the B vitamin family. Inositol helps to metabolize fat and may improve insulin function in the body.
Choline is an essential nutrient that is related to B vitamins. It is responsible for lipid (fat) metabolism and transport and has other jobs in the body related to cell membrane structure and other functions.
We take into account your goals as well as your current health status when developing your custom plan.
